Meet Amy Marsh a Front of House apprentice from Lime Wood hotels.

Happy National Receptionist Day!

My role is mainly customer-facing along with admin-related jobs. I enjoy being organised and efficient whilst coordinating bookings with various departments and ensuring all admin jobs are completed. Most of all, I love my job as it enables me to meet people from all over the world and different demographics. I find it rewarding knowing a guest has enjoyed their experience with us and being part of the guests’ journey.

Other than the job role itself and the guests I meet along the way, I love the people I work with and what a supportive, close-knit team I have surrounding me.

My apprenticeship has helped me massively with my confidence in myself especially with decision making and working with team members. It has expanded my knowledge with finance and budgeting which I was very interested to learn as this is a part of business I had not touched on before.

My best bit of advice for a fellow receptionist is to smile and welcome every guest as you would wish to be welcomed to create a friendly, relaxed, and comfortable environment, making each guest’s experience enjoyable and memorable.
