Operations and Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship

Perfect for those team members who provide vital management to teams and/or projects or departments to achieve operational or departmental targets for the business as part of the organisation’s overall strategy.

The team member should already be in a managerial role within a department, leading and managing teams creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects and coordinating activities and wish to hone the skills needed to excel in their career and business.

Operations or departmental managers maximize processes and procedures in terms of cost-effectiveness while always meeting staff and customer expectations.

This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals who are highly motivated leaders who combine a talent for management and organisational skills. They will thrive on accountability to ensure that everything runs smoothly from one day to another.

This apprenticeship will enable them to support the business allowing it to grow and succeed as well as helping them take that next step in their career.

This is a Level 5, 18-24 month programme plus a Gateway (EPA) of 2 months.

All our apprentices are mentored by our learning consultants who all have strong industry knowledge to make sure they are fully prepared for their End-Point Assessment (EPA).

How it works

  • Apprentices receive theory and practical training from an industry expert learning consultants

  • Experience industry focused events and masterclasses. 

  • Embed what they have learnt back into your workplace by experiencing the different areas of the business and collating evidence of their work. 

  • Their demonstration and evidence collecting of their work should take place as part of Off The Jobs Hours

Off The Job Hours are a must in any apprenticeship. The training is equivalent to 6 hours per week (or 20% of 40 hours).

This gives learners the time to undertake studies, activities, master-classes etc. during working hours.

These include, training activity relevant to the apprenticeship standard, learning a new skill or enhancing knowledge or behaviours, and that these taking place within your normal (contracted) hours.

To complete the Hospitality Manager apprenticeship, the apprentice needs show evidence or pass a level 2 in English and Maths functional skills.
