A quick catch up of the last week!

MONDAY

Mr Motivator kicked us off on Monday, helping us move our bodies, reframe and refresh our minds, ready for the week ahead. Grab your workout gear (the brighter, the better) and catch up anytime on YouTube or IGTV.

TUESDAY

Our Learning Consultants Jacob Mathew MIH & Anja Huettenrauch MIH, where LIVE on LinkedIn delivering a sneak-peek into an apprenticeship training session.

This week saw Jacob and Anja having a ‘Battle of the Leadership Theories’ . A spirited debate on whether Transformation, Transactional or Empathetic Leadership Theory is the most effective, and the pros and cons of each.

Learning Objectives:

  • What are these theories and why are they important?

  • How do you cultivate these leadership styles?

  • Which style wins overall?

WEDNESDAY

Teresa Chacon, Cluster Director of People & Development at Strand Palace and Trafalgar St James Hotel wrote a blog on ‘How to be a transformational leader?’ to help you and your team on your development journey.

THURSDAY

On Thursday we met apprentice, Charlotte Barrington - General Manager for New Forest Hotels.

Over the past year, she has been studying a Level 5 Learning and Development Business Consultancy Apprenticeship, all while navigating the business through a pandemic.

She shares her tips on ‘Leadership Challenges – How to overcome them?’

To finish the week we had one of the most respected General Managers in the London hospitality sector, Sally Beck.
