Umbrella Training and HOSPA Partner to Support Career Development in Hospitality

At Umbrella Training, we are excited to announce a new partnership with HOSPA, the UK's professional association for specialist hospitality leaders, to help more people access the training and support they need throughout their careers.

The collaboration brings together our expertise in apprenticeships and vocational learning with HOSPA's professional development programmes and network of specialists across finance, technology, revenue management, marketing and commercial disciplines. Through the partnership, we will support one another by sharing relevant training opportunities, connecting hospitality professionals with appropriate learning pathways and drawing on their respective industry networks.

While we work closely with employers and apprentices to develop practical skills and professional qualifications, HOSPA provides continued development for hospitality professionals through online learning, industry insights, expert-led webinars and networking opportunities.

Janel Clark, Head of Professional Development - HOSPA, comments on the new partnership:

“Partnering with Umbrella Training seemed like a natural fit. We operate within the same industry and share a commitment to supporting hospitality professionals through high-quality education and development opportunities.

Together, we are passionate about helping individuals build skills, progress their careers and strengthen the future of our industry. By combining our expertise and networks, we can provide even greater access to learning and professional development for hospitality leaders at every stage of their careers.”

Adele Oxberry, CEO and Founder - Umbrella Training

Adele Oxberry, CEO and Founder - Umbrella Training, continues:

“People enter hospitality through so many different routes, and their ambitions naturally change as their careers develop. What's important is that they continue to have access to the guidance, training and opportunities that will help them move forward.

We know how much of a difference the right support can make, whether someone is just beginning their career or looking to take on new responsibilities. Working with HOSPA allows us to introduce people to a wider range of expertise and professional development opportunities, while helping hospitality businesses continue to invest in their teams.

It's a partnership built on a shared belief that learning shouldn't stop at any particular stage of someone's career.”

The partnership will provide a valuable link between the two organisations, helping hospitality professionals and employers identify relevant training, access specialist expertise and explore opportunities for continued development as their needs evolve. It will also provide a foundation for closer collaboration at industry events, including HOSPACE, HOSPA's annual conference, which brings together hospitality leaders and professionals to share knowledge, discuss industry developments and build connections.
