Umbrella Training’s numerous offerings of apprenticeships, and their flexible and tailored approach in delivering apprenticeships to our teams are of tremendous value to our organisation.

The programmes not only meet our business needs but more importantly, the development needs of our apprentices and supporting them in their future development.

The flexible and tailored approach of Umbrella Training makes it easy for our apprentices to embark on and enjoy their learning journey. The personal contact between apprentices, their managers and the learning consultant from Umbrella Training is very valuable and provides us with all the tools and resources we need to support our apprentices.

Our apprentices enjoy the engaging training and learning alongside colleagues from our sister properties as well as meeting apprentices from other companies. It provides them with relevant skills and different perspectives, which they can easily apply in their respective roles immediately.

Apprenticeships have assisted us in our succession planning and retaining internal talent. Since completing their apprenticeship, six of our apprentices have been promoted and transferred to other Hyatt UK properties. For example, one of our Night Team Leaders in Front Office was promoted to a Night Manager role in one of our new opening hotels and has since furthered his career by transferring to one of our London hotels as Assistant Front Office Manager. The apprenticeship has helped us and them to grow and develop their career and stay with Hyatt.

Attraction, retention and upskilling are crucial in this period where recruitment can be challenging. Umbrella Training helps us to train and provide qualifications to our colleagues in a flexible and personal approach. Our apprentices have great experiences and gain valuable skills through learning with others in an engaging and fun way.
