Be Inclusive Hospitaliy Spotlight Awards 2023

We had an incredible time on Monday at the Be Inclusive Hospitality Spotlight Awards 2023, hosted by the M Restaurant Group on Threadneedle Street.

Umbrella Training were incredibly proud to sponsor the ‘Rising Star’ award but came together to celebrate the outstanding talent from the hospitality industry. Our CEO & Founder, Adele Oxberry, our Commercial Director, Jenni Clarke, and our Director of Careers and Talent, Zak Bentaleb, joined some of the industry's best to honour this year's achievers.

The 'Rising Star Award,' sponsored by us, went to ‘Rahel Stephanie’ Founder of the incredible Indonesian-inspired supper club company Spoons. Our own Zak from Umbrella Training had the honour of presenting this award, warmly accepted by their colleague.

Other remarkable winners include Modern Persian Kitchen, recognised for 'Best Middle Eastern Food,' and the exceptional Olajide Alabi from our business partner, 'Turtle Bay,' who clinched the 'Head Office Impact Award' for their unwavering dedication to promoting equality, equity, inclusion, and well-being at work through their One Love culture.

We also had the pleasure of reuniting with “Sting Khumalo”, Director of Human Resources at The Biltmore Mayfair, who received the 'Peoples Choice Person of the Year Award.'

Adele Oxberry, our CEO, took on the role of judge for four award categories. She shared her thoughts, saying, "This year's award submissions truly showcased the immense power of Be Inclusive Hospitality, reflecting the industry's remarkable progress over the last few years. The entries were simply outstanding!"

We are proud to have been part of such an inspiring evening!

A huge congratulations to all the finalists and a huge well done to the winners. You are all superstars!
