The Apprenticeship Clubs are designed to provide support, off job training, learning activities and interactive meetings for our apprentices to help them achieve the apprenticeship.

It will allow you to develop new and interesting skills of which you can efficiently apply in your workplace and develop your own skill set from these experiences.
We pride ourselves in offering only the best, quality activities to our apprentices and will make sure every trip is as entertaining as the last!

Revenue Management: Apprentices manage devise and implement strategies that aim to optimise revenue across the business, for example rooms, conference and events and food and beverage.

Ms Sylvia Ganbert will be your teaching fellow:

Sylvia’s Hospitality education started at Bournemouth University where she gained an HND in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management. She also holds a a Master degree (with distinction) in International Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Certificate in Revenue Management from Cornell University. Sylvia has been part of the University of Surrey Teaching team in Hospitality since 2015. She specialises in Revenue Management. Her career began in the USA as a management trainee followed by various operational hotel positions in the five star sector. Her experience includes, Rooms Division Management, Reservations Management, Conference & Banqueting, and Revenue Management . Her work experience has encompassed various roles across the world in, America, United Kingdom, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

Some of the brands that Sylvia has worked for include Tiara Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and InterContinental Hotel Group, Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, Amelia Island Plantation, Firmdale Hotels, The Grove and so on. Sylvia’s wealth of experience both in the UK and overseas combined with her educational background, makes her perfectly placed to provide sound teaching to the next generation of hoteliers. Her speciality has always been delivering five star luxury service in correlation with total revenue maximisation.

Join us on 21st May 2020 for a master class in cheese making.

You will be given a grand tour of the site and an indepth introduction to the history of cheese making and the many processes involved in churning out award winning cheese.
Yes! Harvey and Brockless are award winning cheese makers, providing cheeses to many of the top hotels and restaurants in the country, holding £4 millon worth of stock at any one time.

Be prepared to get maxed out on the many varieties of cheese they have on offer and will be available for you to try on the day, including The Ashlynn which won Best British Goats Cheese 2018.

During your tour you will see how some of the cheeses are made, stored and even made ready for sale, with techniques such grating, slicing and portioning in large qualities, Cheesey Licious!!
