Do you or someone in your team want to join our network of End Point Assessors?
Umbrella Training’s sister company, Elite Hospitality Assessment Professionals (EHAP), is looking to grow its network of experienced managers and chefs who wish to become end point assessors.
Following the apprenticeship reform, an end point assessment has been introduced as part of the key grading – ensuring apprentices are professionally signed off upon completion of the course. EHAP are therefore keen to talk to hospitality professionals who would like to further enhance the support they provide apprentices within the sector, as well as employers who would like to offer this development opportunity to their managers.
To become an end point assessor, individuals must be occupationally competent with no less than three years’ experience and expertise must be current. Ideally, trainees will currently hold a supervisory/managerial role within the organisation they work.
End point assessors also need to possess a Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (CAVA). For those who are not qualified, though wish to become an assessor, EHAP will be running the Level Three Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, a six-month development course, from Summer 2017.
Intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom); this course will enable trainees to assess competence as well as teach the practices and principles of assessment.
Once qualified, or if already possession of this certification, individuals will join the EHAP End Assessors Network. They will be allocated a minimum of six days a year to carry out end point assessments on behalf of Umbrella Training and other training providers. All dates / times are flexible to your own working schedule and will be paid accordingly. You will also be part of a wider network of assessors as EHAP have partnered with SFA approved end point assessment organisation, Innovate Awarding, ensuring that all assessments are impartial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the new apprenticeship landscape and to bring your knowledge and expertise to support the future of apprenticeships.
